Abernethy Barcaple is the latest addition to the Abernethy family of centres. The Centre is well established and a popular choice for many different groups. Barcaple, which translate as “chapel on the hill”, is situated on the edge of the unspoilt southern uplands between the craggy Solway coast and the rolling Galloway hills. It is set in its own secluded 20-acre estate of lawns and woodland, home to a wide range of on-site activities.

Our wide range of outdoor adventure activities make us a great choice for an action packed holiday at any time of the year. The Centre is ideally located near Loch Grannoch with its own bothy for wilderness camps and Loch Ken where all the water sports activities take place. The local area also offers excellent terrain for Mountain Biking.

The Centre is on the edge of the Galloway country forest park, and is about 5 miles from Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet.
