Escape from the Classroom…
For over thirty five years, Abernethy has provided safe, educational and enjoyable courses and programmes for schools, schools who return to us year after year. We have built a wealth of experience in caring for young people, developing our programmes to develop your pupils. We provide adventure weeks, weekends, and even non-residential adventure days for schools, bringing a fresh and inspiring perspective to education. See downloadable tips checklist at the bottom of this page to help you plan a successful visit.
Learning for Life…
Our schools activity programmes are designed to integrate with the curriculum targets for both primary and secondary education in Scotland. We will endeavour to provide a programme which will suit the needs and abilities of all your pupils, whilst encouraging them to learn in a challenging and active environment. Areas of the curriculum particularly enhanced by our outdoor education programme are Environmental Studies, Personal and Social Development, Physical Education and Religious and Moral Education.
We are Passionate about What We Do…
We firmly believe in our work and know that allowing children freedom to experience adventure activities, whilst under the care of qualified staff, offers unquestionable benefits to their personal and social development.
